About This Event

The Personal Best 5 Mile is a competitive 5M Run and a non-competitive 5K Walk event.  In addition there is also a Kids Fun Run!

Location/Parking

Event is held at Broad Ripple Park located at 1550 Broad Ripple Ave, Indianapolis. There is parking inside of the park. If the park should fill up, then additional parking is available in neighborhoods surrounding the park.

Packet Pick Up - Late Registration

Online sign up will go until 5pm on Thursday, August 5. After that you may pick up your packet on event day beginning at 6:45AM up through 7:45AM. You may also register late during this time frame as well - cost is $22 on day of event.

Event Schedule

Registration/Packet pick up will open at 6:45AM in the Registration Tent. The 5 Mile Run will go at 8:00AM.  The 5K Walk will go at 8:15 AM. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 9:15AM. Awards ceremony at 9:45AM.

Overall Awards

The top 10 men and top 10 women in the 5M Run will receive gift cards from the Athletic Annex Running Centre in the following amounts.  There are no awards for the non-competitive 5K walk.

1st = 100, 2nd = 90, 3rd = 80, 4th = 70, 5th = 60, 6th = 50, 7th = 40, 8th = 30, 9th = 20, 10th = 10

Age Groups

Traditional age group awards will be given out after the race for all age categories in the 5 Mile Run (5 year increments beginning with 12 under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29...75+).  There are no age group awards for the non-competitive 5K walk.

Kids Fun Run

This fun event will happen on the park beginning at 9:15AM. All kids ages 10 and under can participate in a short distance fun run. No registration or fees are required - just show up!
